Tallahassee
Surrounded by top universities, a bustling business district and a vibrant nightlife, Tallahassee is a destination for many and home to more. Rolling hills, beautiful oak-canopied roads and genuine Southern hospitality are just a few of the reasons residents love this town. With over 700+ miles of green space, waterways, boating and kayaking theres always something to do and explore.
Sip & Socialize
Tallahassee has a mix of trendy places to enjoy a meal or drink with friends. Spend the first Friday of every month at the Railroad Square Art District to experience live music, theater performances, art exhibits, and food trucks. For an exceptional cocktail, visit the historic Walker Library where Bar 1903 features a menu spanning 160 years, an extensive spirits list, and small plate fare.
For a drink with a view, visit Charlie Park, located inside the AC Hotel by Marriott. The restaurant is Tallahassee's first rooftop cocktail experience and is within walking distance to nightlife downtown and the Capital City Amphitheater.
In pursuit of whiskey? Head to Warhorse Whiskey Bar. With more than 150 whiskeys to choose from, in addition to cocktails, beer, and wine, there’s something for everyone. Looking for low-key fun? Bottoms Up is a Tallahassee institution – a dive bar scene with cheap drinks, games and pool tables.
Dining
Madison Social is a modern gastropub located in West Tallahassee that serves American small plates and sandwiches that can be enjoyed on an expansive outdoor patio. Cancun's Sports Bar and Grill features a sports bar-meets-spring-break experience serving giant burritos, fresh Mexican fare, and daily drink specials. There’s nothing fancy about King's BBQ, but perhaps that’s why it’s touted as the best BBQ in Tallahassee with succulent, slow-cooked meat and southern, homestyle recipes. For light fare, 3Nativies is a cafe that serves healthy favorites including smoothies, acai bowls and avocado toast. Pineappétit is a restaurant known for serving fresh pineapple bowls and other island-inspired dishes.
A top-rated dining experience in the northeastern part of the city is Backwoods Crossing, a farm-to-fork concept founded by two brothers raised on a centuries-old Florida plantation. Catfish bites, Hog in the Hen House, Tuna & Truffle, and Farmhouse Ribeye are just a few of the standout menu items. Also in the eastern part of town is Vertigo Burgers and Fries. Leaps and bounds above a typical burger joint experience, Vertigo offers a chef-created menu of award-winning burgers that highlight unique flavor combinations with locally sourced ingredients. Vegan and vegetarian options are offered as well.
